The Starlit Dart - An 18+ Short Story

Keane Carter, a notorious starship captain of the Galactic Union is plagued by his defeats at the hand of the rising Vasdinarian pirate queen Eyliat Velrossa. He never expected her to follow him, never thought she'd appear like a ghostly haunting. Now he was in too deep to escape.

Exerpt:

“You’d best pay good all your attentions to me, boy.” Two more of her arms rested on his thigh. His gut responses took over once more, reaching for the dagger at his ankle. It wasn’t there. Yet another of her arms set it down by her elbows on the bar.

“Looking for this? Tsk, tsk.” She clicked deep intricate parts of her mouth Keane couldn’t quite place, despite all his research into her biology. “It’s just a lover’s shot, Captain. Not so afraid of getting close that you’d draw yet another weapon on me?”

He sighed, his mind following her hands on his leg too carefully.

“You can’t blame me. You're an intimidating woman and I’m no boy you can play with.”

“I beg to differ Captain, I’ve been playing with you since I got here. It’s quite fun don’t you think? If you’d just stop resisting quite so hard.”
